MOPUstor

A special assignment was awarded to DISA by Smit Marine Projects for the development of a Mechanical Equipment module. DISA was tasked to engineer, procure, construct, and operate a multipurpose unit for the installation of the MOPUstor (storage tank unit) at the YME field located in the Egersund basin in the North Sea, approximately 110 km Southwest of Stavanger on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, at a waterdepth of approx. 93 m LAT. The unit was capable to : operate all ballast tanks individually, ballast (activate passive flooding) and deballast all tanks and perform suction on the skirt-structure for seabed penetration. Scope of Work: EPC contract for the supply of a Mechanical Equipment Module and operating the MEM unit during installation. The unit was successfully installed within all parameters.
