Oberbürgermeister-Karl-Lehr-Brückenzug

The Oberbürgermeister-Karl-Lehr-Brückenzug (bridge) replacement project. Before the new bridge is built, water, gas, electricity and data lines have to be installed in a culvert under the harbour canal. Züblin Spezialtiefbau has installed two construction pits, one on each side of the canal, for the construction of the passageway underneath the canal. The shaft walls will be constructed from bored piles with a diameter of 1500 mm. 
Particularly challenging is the narrow working area directly at the river Ruhr, as well as the depth of the shafts (28Mtr) and the high pressure on the deep construction pit. DISA international was awarded the underwater work and the installation of the concrete flooring. DISA completed his scope in May 2020.
