OPEN HOUSE AT BAAK CONSTRUCTION

On Saturday 2 October, the BAAK construction consortium and Rijkswaterstaat have opened parts of the Blankenburg construction site to visitors.

Our colleagues were very pleased to have explained all about the working in the deep construction pits of the Maas Delta Tunnel, the complexity of building the Holland Tunnel in peat soil and how the tunnel elements are being made that will soon be immersed.

At three locations visitors were able to take a look behind the scenes:
North bank: Maas Delta tunnel North and Holland tunnel
South bank: Maas Delta South tunnel and Rozenburg junction
Zuidoever: construction dock for tunnel elements at Damen Verolme Rotterdam
