DISA COMPLETED FIRST MILESTONE AT LEVVEL

The first mile on the soil protection installation at the floodgates in Den Oever has been walked and completed within two months. This included the dredging work, the demolition of the old concrete floor, the installation of the new sheet piles and the application of the gravel bed. DISA ensured all the subsea work, inclusive of the diving work, were conducted safely and according clients methodology prior to the application of 2100m3 underwater concrete, which was the first large concrete pour for the Afsluitdijk LEVVEL project. The next underwater concrete pour is scheduled for September in order to have the floodgates available again for the winter period from the 1st of October onwards.
