ROV Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ROV Supervisor leads the ROV team and provides supervisory leadership consisting of technical, operational and administrative support to all the phases of the ROV Project. The ROV Supervisor has an experienced track record in maintaining and operating the ROV's.

The ROV Supervisor executes the leadership task according to the industry best practices implemented into our companies rules and regulations. These R&R are based on local legislations, industry guidelines and continuous improvement from internal and external international platforms.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall responsible of the ROV operations and team.
  • Co-ordination of daily project meetings on the project. 
  • Project scheduling including planning work activities and arranging port calls for crew changes. 
  • Interface with vessel master and marine crew 
  • Co-ordination of vessel services with ships agents, in conjunction with the Operations or Project Manager 
  • Supervision of sub-contractors such as survey personnel, fabricators, test engineers, etc.
  • Assisting and preparing project documentation
  • Arrangement of project preparations 
  • Attendance at Client’s project planning and project close out meetings 
  • Site safety including conducting risk assessments, tool box talks and task plans 
  • Reporting accidents / incidents, near misses and occurrences to the Area Authority on the vessel / platform, and to SHE-Q and Project Managers
  • The safe and efficient operation of the ROV system 
  • The safe and efficient control of substances hazardous to health 
  • The operation of the ROV to conduct the operations detailed in the Project Plan as instructed by the Project Manager 
  • Overall responsibility for the  ROV operation, maintenance and repair of the ROV and ancillary equipment 
  • Supervision of offshore crews 
  • Supervision of offshore operations 
  • On site project planning 
  • Liaison with offshore Clients Representatives 
  • Creation and transmission of daily and weekly reports including daily logs, personnel timesheets, weekly safety/technical/status reports and obtaining sign-off by Client. 
  • Obtaining Client sign-off of any data transmission records for videos and other material handed to Client during the course of a project
  • Offshore project documentation including record keeping 
  • Ensuring the ROV system is maintained and repaired
  • Ensuring the PMS and Technical reports are kept up to date 
  • Ensuring spares and materials are requisitioned in a timely manner to maintain the minimum stock levels in the system inventory 
  • Ensuring goods received are checked against requisition, and completed paperwork is returned to the Operations department
  • Ensuring that items dispatched from offshore location, whether for repair, warranty, or on demobilization are accompanied by the correct paperwork 
  • Assisting operations department during 
  • Ensuring personnel evaluations are regularly completed and forwarded to Onshore Management
  • Approval and sign off of sub-contractor’s daily reports and timesheets 
  • Transmission of Daily Progress Reports (DPR) to those on the list of approved recipients


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience and extended knowledge with regard to safety requirements. 
  • Competences and certification according to the Industry standard
  • Bachelor level degree or relevant experience
  • Extended technical and operating knowledge of ROV Systems 
  • Experience in conducting ROV operations according to Project Plans
  • Knowledge and experience in emergency and running repairs of ROV systems  
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining the Technical Log 
  • Leadership experience 
  • Basic safety-VCA
  • BOSIET or equivalent
  • Valid medical certificate fit for Offshore Work
  • Excellent in the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel.
